Maghagilap ka lang sa junk shop ang dami ng tansong magagamit dun bilang heatsink kung marunong kang mag-fabricate.

Kahit di ka OC'er kailangan alaga pa rin parts mo. Hangga't maaari hindi sila magbe-breakdown. Kaya nga dapat may investment pa rin sa mga cooling devices.

Kung magpapadala ka lagi sa brand name at makukulay na packaging di ka lalayo sa enthusiast world of PCs. Tandaan mo na kung balak mong gumamit ng mga enthusiast-level na parts kailangan mo rin ng mga enthusiast-level na cooler. At kailangan mo ng experience para mapakinabangan yang mga yan. Aanhin mo ang PC na sobrang bagsik kung di naman tatagal ng expected service life nya na 10 years.

Pero eto lang paulit-ulit na sasabihin ko sayo:

Ibig sabihin nyan kahit lumang Pentium II ay napapakinabangan as long as it gets the job done. Isa pa you need to invest a lot sa mga enthusiast parts... dagdag mo pa yung napakamahal na maintenance at electrical cost.

Yang Xeon na yung Server-to-Desktop class nila. Pede syang pang Desktop. Yung Server Class Itanium lang ang full-pledged na Quad Core ng Server Family nila.

Anyways, kung may pera kang pambili ng Xeon then go ahead. Pero mas mataas din ang kailangan mong mga specs. Good yang pan-desktop kung swak ka sa specs nya. DDR3, FSB1333, etc... di mo magagamit full capabilities nya with regular lang na mga peripherals.

Dun naman sa tanong mo, malaki ang difference ng dalawang yan. First off hindi Socket 775 ang gamit ng Xeon. Another point is hindi sya Quad Core. Itanium yung mga yun. Mas mataas ang clock speed at power consumption ng mga Xeon kesa mga desktop class. Mas efficient ang performance per clock ng mga Core series pero talo sya sa application performance ng mga Xeon dahil mas matataas ang mga processing throughput ng mga Xeon.

Ever since the creation of my first review I've been wanting that, too. And I think the same goes for all of us.

I use my guestbook to preview each section of my review. Type it in notepad first then copy-paste to my guestbook, hit preview then paste it in the review submission form.
